Why you should choose Clear View Vision Care for your Eye Health and Vision Examination
At Clear View Vision Care, our Doctors provide comprehensive adult, pediatric, and infant evaluations that are broken into two parts. New patients to the practice tell us they have never had a more thorough exam. Current patients keep coming back for the same reason!
Infant Eye Health and Vision Examinations
The first part of your infant's exam is a developmental evaluation to determine whether or not he/she is meeting his/her normal developmental milestones. This exam should be scheduled at 9 to 11 months of age. Special attention is paid to eye teaming, tracking, and will assess your infant for Strabismus or crossed/turned eyes, Amblyopia, both causes of "Lazy Eye".
The second part of your infant's exam is the Eye Health Examination to preserve the future of their vision. Many eye conditions begin at earlier ages than most people think, and our Eye Health Examination is there to preserve your infant's eyes and provide a lifetime of great vision.
Pediatric / Children Eye Health and Vision Examinations
The first part of your child's exam is a Visual Evaluation to determine his/her potential vision today, and to maximize their vision, vision processing skills, and visual comfort. Special attention is paid to eye teaming, tracking, and focusing, as these are basic skills necessary to succeed in school, sports, work and life. We go beyond "the 20/20 vision care myth" to evaluate your child for Strabismus or crossed/turned eyes, Amblyopia or Lazy Eye, and Accommodative Insufficiency or focusing problems. We will make sure your child will enjoy clear, comfortable vision.

Adult Eye Health and Vision Examinations
The first part of your exam is a Visual Evaluation to determine your potential vision today, and to maximize your vision and visual comfort. Special attention is paid to the demands of your workplace, hobbies and lifestyle to insure clear, comfortable vision.
The second part is a comprehensive Eye Health Examination to preserve the future of your vision. We will determine if you have glaucoma, cataracts, age related macular degeneration, or other eye conditions that could pose a threat to a lifetime of great vision.
Why should you have an examination?
The annual examination is a huge step forward in diagnosing eye disease and preventing vision loss.
In the Fall of 2002, while Dr. Martin was having his eyes examined, a retinal tear was diagnosed. Dr. Martin had not had any symptoms. He was, like any patient would be, surprised! We had surgery later that day to correct the problem.
Had the exam not been done, Dr. Martin believes he would have suffered some degree of permanent vision loss.
Because of this personal experience, Dr. Martin recommends all patients have an annual exam every year, as the year before his eyes did not have any pathology. Age is not a restriction.
