Clear View Vision Care Dry Eye Syndrome Treatment: Lipiflow
Dry eye syndrome is among the most common eye and vision issues that affect more and more people every year. Clear View Vision Care is here to help you manage and eliminate the symptons related to this condition.
What is Dry Eye Syndrome?
Each time you blink, tears are supposed to spread across the front surface of the eye. When there’s an imbalance in the volume and consistency of the tear system, you will experience symptoms of dry eye, including the following:
- A sandy or gritty feeling, like something is stuck in the eye
- Stinging or burning sensation
- Excessive eye watering, followed by extreme dryness
- Stringy discharge
- Redness that is something accompanied by pain
- Episodes of vision blurriness
- Discomfort when wearing contact lenses
There are two forms of Dry Eye: Evaporative Dry Eye and Aqueous Dry Eye. The evaporative form of dry eye is more common, as 9 out of 10 individuals (86%) suffering from the condition have it. This is caused by the shortage of oil in tears and on the surface of eyes, which is caused by a blockage in the Meibomian glands in the eyelids. Because of this, tears evaporate faster than normal. The lack of oil production is often referred to as Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD)
Clear View Vision Care Lipiflow Treatment: The Ultimate Solution for Dry Eye
Clear View Vision Care’s Dr. Jeffrey F. Martin has personally struggled with MGD for over 20 years. He tried and used countless brands and types of treatment without success.
When TearScience released the Lipiview and Lipiflow Systems, Dr. Martin made a commitment to one day bring that technology to Tucson and Southern Arizona. That day has come! Dr. Martin has already had the Lipiflow treartment himself, as have members of his staff. He was pleased as how easy, painless, and comfortable it was, like a warm massage.
