AdaptDx Is The Early Detection Test For Macular Degeneration

Preserving Vision Before It’s Too Late
Our vision is to eliminate blindness caused by AMD. Patients with AMD often do not know they have the disease during its early stages, which can last five years or more. By the time symptoms become apparent, the disease is frequently quite advanced and substantial, irreversible vision loss has already occurred.
Our AdaptDx® enables doctors to measure dark adaptation function, which is known to be severely impaired in AMD and other macular degenerations. Early detection of AMD allows doctors to take action against vision loss before its onset.
Effective measures include life style changes and use of eye-health supplements that reduce the risk of progressing to the late-stage AMD and associated vision loss or blindness. In addition, tracking changes in dark adaptation function with the AdaptDx can help doctors begin treatment with proven late-stage AMD drugs (such as Lucentis®, Avastin® and Eylea®) at the earliest possible time when outcomes are best.
Patients find the AdaptDx test easy to complete. It is non-invasive and non-surgical (nothing touches your eye) and takes as little as five minutes per eye. The AdaptDx will print a concise report for the doctor to review with the patient.
